The Lady Whippets came up short to Bridgeport 65-57 today at the state tournament. While it was a disappointing end to the season, we are so proud of the great season from the girls. They finished at 20-4 overall!!! Great season Whippets!!!

Reminder: No School tomorrow, Thursday, February 29th. If the Lady Whippets win tomorrow, there will be No School on Friday, March 1st. If we lose, we will have school on Friday. Good Luck to the Whippet Girls' Basketball Team tomorrow at 10:45 in Lincoln!
The girls state basketball game will air on 92.1/92.7fm and 1460/1550am radio on Thursday. You can also watch the game live on the NFHS Network through Newschannel Nebraska (this option requires a paid subscription).

The Girls' basketball team will play Bridgeport on Thursday, February 29th, at 10:45 in Lincoln. Due to the high number of students and staff attending this game, we will not have school on Thursday. If we win, we will not have school on Friday. If we lose, we will have school.

Kids Cheer Camp Reminder!!! The kids cheer camp will perform during halftime of the girls varsity basketball game on Thursday February 8th. The scheduled start time of the varsity girls game is 6pm. Kids cheer camp participants should meet in the performing arts theater at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of the girls basketball game!

Whippet boys wrestling team defeats Battle Creek on a tie break to advance to the state championship match at 5:30pm!!! We would love to see everyone come to Kearney to watch our boys go for the State Championship!!!

CLJMS Families if you or your student would like to purchase candy grams for any students (including your own) or staff. Please fill out the form that was sent home today please include their name, your name, a message if you wish, and their grade level with homeroom (so we know where to deliver). Students may also purchase them and day after school from Feb. 6-12 in the lobby.
MPS will have a late start today. Roads are worse than yesterday. There is no morning preschool, and buses will run accordingly. Have a great day, and give yourself extra time and space.
